Campus Involvement
The courses that I am instructing are diverse and challenge students to view the world from different perspectives. In ethnic studies we take an in depth look at our own social identity while investigating movements and hardships faced by different communities. While in human geography we look at the diverse cultures of the world and examine how geographic factors have shaped civilizations. Both of these classes instill empathy and perspective for students regarding the world outside of their immediate existence. Outside of the classroom, I am part of the AMP Academy (Arts, Media and Performance) which focuses on engaging students in the arts.

Lacrosse Community
When joining Monterey High, I was privileged with the opportunity to spearhead the development of a boys lacrosse program. As the school already has a girls team, the newly added boys team expands the scope of access for the student body and allows space to establish a collaborative lacrosse community on campus. While working in parallel with the girls coaching staff we have created leadership opportunities, community events and workshops that focus on empowering student athletes.
