How it All Began

In 5th-grade my dad took me to watch one of my cousin’s high school lacrosse games and I was immediately hooked. We headed to Play-It-Again sports that week to purchase my first lacrosse stick and the rest is history. Little did I know that this game was going to take me all over the country and even abroad. Always seeking more opportunities I played on tournament teams throughout California and Colorado, attended lacrosse camps on the east coast, and was part of an exhibition team that played in Australia. In 2007 I headed to Ohio Wesleyan University to play NCAA Division III lacrosse. At OWU, I successfully secured a starting role during my freshman season and helped the team throughout my career make four NCAA tournament appearances and win our conference in 2010 and 2011. After graduating, I took my talents from the field to the sideline to help teach the game I love to others.

Coaching Positions

I have had a wide range of coaching experience from private lessons to serving as the defensive coordinator for a junior college lacrosse club. During the 2014-2015 season, I served as the Head Varsity Coach for Temecula Valley High School helping the team achieve an 11-3-1 season, which was the best record in program history. After returning from living abroad in 2019, I helped coach youth lacrosse in Santa Barbara while serving as the Defensive Coordinator for San Marcos High School. In 2021, I joined Monterey High School to spearhead the creation of a boys lacrosse team.

Officiating

I started officiating youth lacrosse as soon as I had my driver’s license. This helped teach me the intricacies of the unique sport when coaching and ultimately become a better facilitator of the game. By the 2014 lacrosse season, I was officiating Men’s College Lacrosse in the MCLA B Conference.
