Courses Taught: B2 & C1 ESL Classes, Global Issues Elective

Upon returning to the United States, I was able to continue interacting with the international community by accepting a position teaching ESL classes to international students that were taking part in a long-term exchange program in Santa Barbara, CA. This amazing experience truly epitomized the meaning of having a diverse classroom with students from all regions of the world! It was not uncommon to have students from 8+ different countries in each class. The content instructed focused on grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, and speaking activities. Throughout my experience teaching ESL classes, I was able to gain a deeper grasp of language instruction and differentiation strategies to ensure student mastery of the material covered.
